Yiorgos Bereris releases new single: “Laros”

Laros is the word that was used in the old Greek language to describe something that is pleasant either to taste, see or hear. In this piece, the lyrical melodies of the piano and the Balkan flute retain this pleasant feeling all the way to an explosive guitar solo.

It was composed in Corfu and is inspired by the restless movement of the Ionian sea, constantly balancing between calmness and agitation. Laros blends the contemporary sound of the piano trio, with the traditional texture of the Balkan flute, kaval, as well as a unique performance of a folk electric guitar.
